A
lot has happened on the journey since this website was originally
set up. Most important, the creation of “BARE FEET”.
Bare
Feet is an arts and performance project staged, rehearsed and presented
mainly by children, on, or formerly on the streets of Lusaka, Zambia.
The
project provides an opportunity for children or young people to
have their voices heard, offers a channel to express themselves,
showcase their talent and discuss topics or issues that they feel
are important to them. Through the use of drama, aerobatics, creative
writing and carnival, the children are allowed to play, create,
laugh and learn… it allows them to be children.
Adam
McGuigan, who was twenty-four years old at the time, set the project
up a couple of years ago. Adam is now working in partnership with
Africa Kidsafe and a team of Zambian creatives and volunteers.
This
project is making a real and purposeful difference to the lives
of these children.
You

Feet” story.
